Those Burgeo photos are one of the reasons I went to Burgeo for the level 2. But - I never saw the sun. Constant fog is a powerful teaching tool for navigation - no one who goes to Burgeo ever forgets the experience.
Michael, we were fortunate in that the beginning of our level 2 course was gorgeous sun. Nice to have the warmth when you're doing rolls & rescues and just generally getting wet. Morning we started on our trip, the fog rolled in. Perfect for testing navigational skills as you say. You just never know what it'll be like - so best always to come planning for extra days. Alison
