cabin fever?

(photo taken at little heart's ease, by john knight)

january 29, 2007

you know when my kids - especially #2, the son - start jumping around the house it's time to chuck them outdoors. go build a snow fort-shovel snow-put out the compost-sled down the neighbours back garden-look for flickers, whatever. goodness knows what my excuse is.

snow is continuing in st. john's. cabin fever could be setting in.

To combat cabin fever, I went sliding last night

Cold and snowy here as well! Perfect weather for kids to play outdoors! And for adults to play like kids - and paddle standing up! Fun photo!

oiy - between colds, snow storms, and school closures, I'm fit to be tied! Ok. should start planning this summer's paddling excursions - am looking at Notre Dame Bay (so many islands), Fortune Bay (resettled/isolated communities), south coast (oh, to paddle to MacCullum).
Dan & Michael - hope you're enjoying winter.

Sign me up for any of those paddles, Alison, especially the one to MacCullum along the south coast! I'm so itching to head out, I can hardly ski anymore.

No cabin fever here. Just fever for the outdoors, snow, skiing and a little tarp shack at the top of a hill!!

Michael - a trip to MacCallum would be super. Check out Paul Delaney's (who left the next comment) trip report on south coast on the KNL website. 4 of us had to abort the trip because of hurricane but we've always thought of returning.
Paul - what do you think, return trip to South Coast? Figured you'd be out skiing a lot. Where's the shack?

Oh, and Ezra - check out Freya's blog - some people can do handstands in their kayak!
